Warm Water Wellness

I’m excited to share a new opportunity with Aloha Health & Wellness! We now have access to a warm, indoor pool in Jensen Beach, where we’ll be offering sessions on Fridays.

The pool is heated to approximately 90–92 degrees, making it a comfortable place to move and exercise throughout the fall and winter months without having to worry about the weather. Whether you want to improve your strength, balance, mobility, or overall wellness, warm water sessions are a great way to keep working toward your goals all year long!

Why Warm Water?

Warm water can make movement feel easier and more comfortable, especially for people who experience stiffness, joint pain, or muscle tightness.

The warmth may help relax muscles and ease stiffness, while the buoyancy of the water takes some pressure off your joints. The water also provides natural resistance to help build strength, and its support can make it easier to work on balance and movement with more confidence.

Aquatic exercise can be especially helpful for individuals living with arthritis, chronic pain, Parkinson’s disease, or recovering from a stroke. Depending on your individual needs, moving in the water may help improve mobility, flexibility, strength, and the ability to participate in everyday activities.

One of my favorite things about working in warm water is seeing people able to release and relax. Life can be stressful, especially when managing chronic pain, navigating aging, or recovering from a stroke. I’ve seen how being in the water can give people a chance to let go of their day to day worries, even if just for a little while. Working in the water allows the mind to step away from everything else for a moment.

Is Warm Water Wellness Right for You?

Although warm water can be beneficial, a pool temperature of 90–92 degrees may not be appropriate for everyone. Individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) may be sensitive to heat, and those who are pregnant or have heart conditions or high blood pressure should check with their healthcare provider before participating. The right water temperature and activity level can vary depending on your individual health and needs.

Your comfort and safety are important, and we can discuss your goals and individual needs before getting started.
