The Moment Aloha Began
In March 2025, Olivia met Lola during her recovery after a stroke. Throughout rehabilitation, Lola shared stories of her love of spending time in the water with her husband, Rico. After her stroke, her passion for the water never faded. Before Lola was discharged home, Rico shared one hope: Lola might be able to participate in aquatic therapy. That conversation stayed with Olivia. Lola became Aloha Health & Wellness’ very first aquatic therapy client. Watching Lola step into the water was more than a milestone, it was the beginning of an everlasting impact and new mission for Olivia — to share that healing is possible under the therapeutic power of water.
Founded by Olivia, a licensed occupational therapist with experience in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings, our approach combines occupational therapy principles with the healing benefits of water and movement. With a background in kinesiology, psychology and occupational therapy, and certified through Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute, Olivia’s mission is to help adults stay strong, balanced, and connected to activities that bring meaning to their lives. Through respect, compassion, and the spirit of aloha, we provide a space where adults are supported and empowered to thrive in their journey towards healthy aging and independence.
Meet the Founder
Hutchinson Island holds a special place in the foundation of Aloha. I’ve made so many memories in the water here with my grandma, and now I have the privilege of working with clients in these same waters. It’s a beautiful reminder of how meaningful it can be when personal memories and professional purpose come together in a place I love.
